What is Ultima-BPC 157?

What is Ultima-BPC 157?

BPC-157 is a peptide, simply an amino acid sequence.

The following is a series of fifteen amino acids:

L-Valine, glycyl-L-alpha-glutamyl-L-prolyl-L-prolyl-L-prolylgsil-L-lysyl-L-prolyl-L-alanyl-L-alpha-aspartyl-L-alpha-aspartyl-L-alanylglisyl-L-leucyl; glycyl-L-alpha-glutamyl-L-prolyl-L-prolyl-L-prolylglisylsil-L-prolyl-L-alanyl-L-alpha-aspartyl-L-alpha-aspartyl-L-alanylglisyl-L-leucyl-L-valine. This is the long name of BPC-157.

BPC stands for “body protect compound,” meaning body protection compound. Your body already produces it in very small amounts in your stomach juices, serving to protect and heal your intestines here. But if you can take the super concentrated version and put it into your system, it has extremely high biological healing activity almost everywhere you put it.

What does it do?

BPC-157 has been surprisingly free of side effects and has been shown since 1991 to repair tendons, muscles, intestines, teeth, bones, and more in research studies conducted both in vitro laboratory “test tube” studies and in vivo and rodent studies.

It encourages tendon growth, cell survival, and cell migration with tendon and ligament healing when applied to rats with a murine model of Achilles tendon rupture and also with damaged medial collateral ligaments given in drinking water.

Healing from tendon to bone.

It neutralizes the harmful effects of painkillers on the gastrointestinal tract.

It repairs damage caused by inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in a rodent IBD model within a few days of oral application.

Reverse systemic corticosteroid-impaired muscle healing in rodent models where BPC-157 was orally administered once daily for 14 days to rats with crushed gastrocnemius muscles. Similar benefits were also shown in a rodent study conducted by Novinscak and colleagues.

Bone healing in rabbits with segmental bone defects before treatment with BPC-157.

BPC-157 is also known as “stable gastric pentadecapeptide” because it is stable in human gastric juice and can cause anabolic healing effects in both the upper and lower GI tract, has ulcer-preventive effects, and produces a therapeutic effect on inflammation.

As shown in the above research studies, BPC-157 also accelerates wound healing and, through interaction with the Nitric Oxide (NO) system, leads to the preservation of endothelial tissue and a “angiogenic” (blood vessel forming) wound healing effect. This occurs even in severely impaired conditions such as advanced and poorly controlled irritable bowel disease, with intestinal anastomosis healing and reversal.

How much should you take?

There is a lot of research on BPC-157, and it has been shown to be systematically effective when injected anywhere between 1-10 mcg per kilogram of body weight once daily. In most cases, this occurs in a dose range of 200 mcg to 800 mcg anywhere. Some individuals report that the most successful doses are 250-350 mcg twice daily and a total dose of 500-700 mcg daily. Of course, there is no common scientific consensus on this, as these are individual experiences.

Summary

Okay, now you may be wondering why your doctor, physiotherapist, surgeon, gastroenterologist, etc., didn’t tell you about these things.

Since BPC-157 is entirely a natural gastric juice peptide, it cannot be patented, period. This means that large pharmaceutical companies cannot make money from BPC-157, and this means that it is not marketed to your local doctor, hospital, or anywhere in the healthcare system. It is also not approved by the FDA as a drug and is not even considered “sellable” for human use.

You may also be wondering whether sports regulated by organizations such as USADA or WADA are legal or not.

While some “peptide hormones, growth factors, related substances, and mimetics” may indeed be illegal for use in sports regulated by these organizations, BPC-157 is not currently listed as one of these illegal compounds. Yet.

Although BPC-157 is a peptide that can be found in your stomach juices, there have been no long-term studies in humans to date, and 90% of the studies have been conducted from the same clinic, from the Croatian pharmaceutical company Pliva, which was later acquired by the company Merck. The legal future of BPC-157 is currently unclear.

Despite being an old peptide and not causing any clear side effects among users, there are no known cases of side effects in the literature. Currently, in the United States, it is quite popular among doctors practicing regenerative medicine or peptide therapy. In Europe and America, production and sales are carried out with a disclaimer in so-called compound pharmacies, where the aim is to sell the product under the name of research product in research and development laboratories since the product is not FDA approved.
